Cope Environmental Center welcomes New Executive Director, Marcy Crull

Cope Environmental Center (CEC) is excited to announce the selection of Wayne County native and Centerville resident Marcy Crull as its new executive director. May 2 was her first day on the job.

Marcy has over 20 years of leadership and nonprofit experience. Her passion for the Wayne County community, the planet, and education led her to CEC. Marcy has worked for several nonprofits locally, serving as the executive director for Junior Achievement and Girls Inc. of Wayne County. Marcy has led teams, developed, and executed fundraising strategies, supported board members, and designed and implemented strategic growth plans.

Board President, Gail Connerley shared, “The board is thrilled to welcome Marcy as Cope's new executive director. Nonprofit leadership and service to our community are clearly passions for her as demonstrated by her success with several of Wayne County's top organizations over her career. Her competency with budgets, proven success in fundraising, and the professionalism and expertise she brings to staff management and mentorship are just a few examples of the skills we are excited for Marcy to share with CEC.”

“I appreciate the board’s confidence in me, and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead such a great organization and help promote the sustainable use of the Earth’s resources. CEC is a strong nonprofit with deep roots, and I know we can move forward and continue to provide the excellent programs and education our community deserves,” Crull said. “I’m especially grateful to the past directors, board members, and staff. Cope is strong today because of their hard work and dedication.”

Cope is confident Marcy is the right leader to work alongside staff, board, and our entire community as we enter a new phase of growth, partnerships, and education.
