This month’s bird walk will focus on species that are often heard before they are seen like cuckoos and sedge wrens. These elusive birds tend to hide in thick vegetation but often give themselves away with distinctive calls. We’ll rely on our ears as much as our eyes, tuning into their vocalizations to help guide our search. With patience and a bit of luck, we may spot them or catch a quick glimpse as they peek out from their hiding spots. This walk is perfect for all ages and a great way to sharpen your listening and observation skills in nature.
