Full Moon Hike

  • Cope Environmental Center 1730 Airport Road Centerville, IN, 47330 United States (map)

Join us for a magical evening under January’s Wolf Moon, a time when nature’s winter beauty shines its brightest. Known as the Wolf Moon, Old Moon, or Ice Moon, this full moon earned its name from the haunting sounds of wolves howling in midwinter as they actively hunt. The month also brings some of the coldest temperatures of the year, giving rise to its alternative names.

Dress warmly and embrace the crisp winter air as we venture along Cope Environmental Center’s trails, illuminated by the glow of the full moon. Before or after the hike, warm up with provided hot refreshments and enjoy the serenity of the season.
