Come on join on a star filled night in search of bats and moths. Cope Board member Ted Gilman will be joining us to help learn all about the amazing bat species that live around us. We will go in search of bats on the property, and we will learn about the amazing adaptations that help them navigate in the darkness. We will learn about the importance of bats and how we can support them by having plenty of moths to eat. After our bat walk we will focus on moths and we will stop at a mothing station where we will use a blacklight to attract them to us. We will see all kinds of amazing species of moth and will talk about how important these little insects are to the bats around us.
