Come join us for a fun-filled night of searching for nocturnal birds! With migration being in full swing we will have some additional nocturnal birds to see. We will look for owls and Nighthawks, and maybe we will see some late mating Woodcock, and elusive Black-crowned Night Herons, and Eastern Whip-Poor-Wills. We will learn how these birds navigate the night sky and the adaptations that aid their nocturnal flight. You can bring a flashlight but red lamps are preferred, and please no pets. Bring your binoculars, comfortable hiking shoes, hiking sticks, and a positive attitude as we go out to see our amazing feathered friends!
No registration is required for this event.
Thank you to our friends at Blue Buffalo for sponsoring our Nocturnal Bird Hike.
