If you come walk the forest of Cope in April and May you will see the forest floor covered in a beautiful palette of blues, purples, pinks, whites, and yellows. These colors are the spring wildflowers that grow in our forest every year and play a vital role in our forest ecosystem. We will take an approximately 1-mile hike where we will learn about the different wildflowers that grow in our forest and talk about their importance to the ecosystem. You will learn how these flowers grow and how you can help native wildflowers grow in your forests or around your home. Trails are rated easy, but we will have some slight hills to go up and some stairs on our bridges. Please note there is no registration needed for this event.
Thank you to Logue’s TLC Pet Hospital for their Sponsorship of our Spring Wildflower Hike!
