Warblers & Vireos

  • Cope Environmental Center 1730 Airport Road Centerville, IN, 47330 United States (map)

Like warblers are small vibrant colored birds that search the trees and the underbrush for small insects to eat. Unlike the warblers though Vireos don't sing as loud and can be a bit more elusive. Join us for a wonderful afternoon as we search the property for our six different species of Vireo that visit Cope. We will learn about the differences between warblers and vireos, and we will learn about why warblers are so diverse in where they live in the forest. We will search for some of our more common species and learn about our famous White-eyed Vireo that nests on our property every year.
