Spring Wildflower Hike

  • Cope Environmental Center 1730 Airport Road Centerville, IN, 47330 United States (map)

As winter's shadow fades away and the sun and spring rain start to enrich the forest of Cope, There is an explosion of color on the forest floor! Our spring ephemeral flowers have sprouted and are in full bloom! They are the first major source of pollen for our vital pollinator species, and they are signs of warmer days to come. Come join us in the forest of Cope as we hike the trails and learn about all the amazing and beautiful species of wildflowers. We will learn about their importance to forest ecosystems and see the amazing interactions that happen between them and our native wildlife. We will also take time to reflect and see how these short-lived flowers make an impact on our lives.
