Join us for a fun, feather-filled morning exploring two of the best fall birding spots at Brookville Lake! Treaty Line Road and the mudflats offer an incredible mix of habitats—and October is an especially exciting time to visit as fall migration brings new species through eastern Indiana.
Along the road, we’ll search for late-season warblers, vireos, cuckoos, thrushes, and flycatchers, while keeping an eye out for newly arriving sparrows, kinglets, creepers, and wrens. Once we reach the mudflats, we’ll turn our attention toward waterfowl, gulls, cranes, herons, egrets, and lingering shorebirds.
With birds often closer to eye level, this is a great opportunity to observe a wide variety of species. On the right day, we could even see more than 100 species! Come experience the excitement of fall migration and see what Brookville Lake has waiting for us.
