With the arrival of September comes the beginning of one of nature's great journeys: fall migration! Millions of birds will be making their way south to their wintering grounds, and many will be flying over Cope, with some stopping on the property to rest and recharge along the way.
Join us for an evening of searching for warblers and other migrant friends as they make their way through Cope. With the absence of the male spring songs, we'll have the opportunity to sharpen our skills for finding and identifying birds by sight.
As dusk approaches, we'll turn our attention to the skies in hopes of spotting migrating Nighthawks overhead. Come see who is passing through Cope as the great fall migration gets underway!
