Experience the magic of the June full moon during this peaceful evening hike at Cope Environmental Center. Known as the Strawberry Moon, June’s full moon is traditionally associated with the season of strawberry harvesting and the arrival of early summer.
As dusk settles over the trails, we’ll explore the sights and sounds of nature after dark while learning about the history and folklore connected to this month’s moon. From glowing fireflies to nighttime wildlife calls, the forest takes on a whole new atmosphere beneath the moonlight.
Please bring a flashlight if needed and wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, and bug spray.
