Moths of the Night

  • Cope Environmental Center 1730 Airport Road Centerville, IN, 47330 United States (map)

Join us for an exciting evening dedicated to the fascinating world of moths and other nocturnal pollinators. Moths are among the most diverse and important insects in our forests, playing a vital role in pollination and the nighttime ecosystem.

During this nighttime adventure, we’ll explore the woods of Cope searching for as many moth species as possible while learning about their incredible diversity, camouflage, and ecological importance. We’ll set up mothing sheets and place moth bait throughout the forest to attract a variety of species for close-up observation.

From giant silk moths to tiny hidden beauties, you never know what may appear once the sun goes down. This program is perfect for curious nature lovers, photographers, and anyone interested in discovering the hidden life of the forest at night.
